I've never run a marathon, but I know a great approach to prepare for anything is to visualize yourself acomplishing it. It's called creative visualization. If you can see yourself doing it, you plant that thought surrounded by your subconcious. Then, your subconcious moves it to your concious mind and it eventually becomes truth. It's also a great way to focus.
Also, try philosophical breathing. I'm not sure if you are familiar near the technique but take surrounded by a deep breath thorugh your snout, and then exhals through you snout but via your throat. It makes a almost a growling nouns. It takes practice, but it's a great passageway to calm your body and become focused.
Get a moral rest and eat integral slow oats in the morning.
